Longxingsi Mituodian (Amitabha Hall) was added to the north side of the Dabeige in the fifth year of the Ming dynasty Zhengde reign period (1510). Jingyetang and Yaoshidian are located on the east and west sides, respectively. The Amitabha hall is five bays (23.1 m) across the front facade, has a depth of four bays (14.52 m), and is crowned with a single-eaves hip-gable roof (xieshan 歇山) roof covered with grey tiles. The overall height of the building is 16.1 meters. 1

In front of the hall is a “moon terrace” (yuetai 月臺), the east-west width of which is 29.25 meters, and the north-south length is 9.53 meters. The east, west, and south sides are all accessible by staircases. The eaves do not have dougong 斗栱 rather a series of large and small e tie beams (including large and small efang 額枋, you'e 由額, dianban 墊板, and pingbanfang 平板枋) are used to support the eaves purlins between the pillars, a technique common in the Ming dynasty. The central bay of the main hall is filled with four wood-panel and lattice doors and the left and right secondary bays have four lattice panels in the windows. Inside the hall, the Amitabha statue is seated on the 1.57-meter-high stone Sumeru-style plinth. The Amitabha sculpture sits on a 3.39 meter high lotus seat and has a wide forehead, exaggerated ears, and downcast eyes. Wearing a robe, the figure's hands are folded in front of the abdomen in the mudra of meditation (Zhang et al., eds. 2000, 18).
